One-to-One Online Lessons

Terms of Service

Introduction

This page details the agreement we make when you book an online one-to-one lesson. It includes what you are agreeing to and need to know about:

  • the Zoom meeting room, audio & video settings and screen recording

and what to do / what happens:

  • If you need to reschedule or cancel

  • If I need to reschedule

  • If you are running late

  • If you miss the lesson completely

  • If the meeting room is not open when you arrive

  • If we lose connection

  • If I have to cancel your lesson for any other reason

and includes other important information, including rights reserved.

Please note, refunds or transfer of credit are not available for missed online group classes or missed one-to-one online lessons, so please book carefully.

If you book a class or lesson that is not right for you, you will not be given refund, but you can book a free 20 minute discovery call with Ella, to find out more and help you to decide if this is the right online group yoga class or one-to-one lesson for you.

The Terms of Service for one-to-one lessons and Group Classes are slightly different so please read through what is relevant for you.

Zoom meeting room, audio & video settings and screen recording

The zoom meeting room will open at the time your lesson lesson begins.

Screen recording by students is not permitted.

You must have your audio and video on for a one-to-one lesson.

If you need to reschedule or cancel

You must let me know at least 48 hours before the start time, but text or WhatsApp (my number is provided in your confirmation email). schedule.

You can re-schedule for a date and time as per my availability up to one month and you will receive a new confirmation email.

You can reschedule each appointment once only.

Cancelled and missed lessons are not refunded.

If I need to reschedule

I very very rarely have to re-schedule appointments but if I do, I will let you know at least 48 hours in advance by email (and by text and WhatsApp if I you have given your number)

We will arrange a new date and time as soon as possible as per my availability and yours up to one month and you will receive a new confirmation email.

If you are running late

Please let me know, by email, text or WhatsApp if you can! If you do, you can join the zoom meeting when you are ready and we will use whatever time is left

If I do not hear from you, I will wait 15 minutes and then close the zoom meeting room and it will be a missed lesson

If you miss the lesson completely

I do not re-schedule or refund missed appointments, but please do let me know what happened - I will be concerned about you!

If the meeting room is not open when you arrive

I will start the zoom meeting at your appointed time - if you are early, you will see a message saying “Waiting for host to start the meeting”

Please wait for a few minutes I may be fixing a small IT problem.

If I am having a more serious problem, I will email, text or WhatsApp you and let you know what is happening.

If we can start within 10 minutes of you lesson start time, the total time of your lesson, will start from then  - e.g.if you have booked 60 minutes, you will have 60 minutes

If it is more than 10 minutes after your appointed start time, You can choose to either: continue with the lesson until the end time + up to 15 minutes max

or re-schedule the whole lesson, instead.

If we lose connection

Please pause and take a few breaths :-)

If the problem is on your connection, please check your internet, device etc.

Try turning your wifi modem / router on and off again and/or try restarting your device.

If you are not able to re-join and I have not heard from you within 15 minutes, I will close the zoom meeting room.

A discount or extra time may be given for a future lesson, at the teacher’s discretion.

Please do let me know what happened asap - I will be concerned about you.

If the problem is with my connection

Firstly, please accept my sincere apologies and wait for a few minutes. If it takes more than a few minutes to re-join, I will email / text / WhatsApp you if I can.

If the problem can be fixed within 10 minutes, the class will re-start on the same zoom link and I will add the lost minutes to the end of the class.

If the problem cannot be fixed within 10 minutes, I will email you as soon as possible and offer a apporpraite resolution, depending on how much time was lost.

If I have to cancel your lesson for any other reason

This is very unlikely! But if it does happen, I will email you as far in advance as possible with a resolution.

1) If it is possible for us both, we will re-schedule your lesson for a date and time no more than 7 days after the original and a new confirmation email will be sent

If that is not possible, you will receive

2) a code or gift card which equals your payment for the class which you can apply to another class

if 1) or 2) are not possible, you will receive

3) confirmation of refund

Unfortunately I cannot offer you the choice. 1) 2) or 3) is based on what is possible in the circumstances.

I reserve the right to decline and refund a booking at anytime for any reason.

I reserve the right to stop or cancel any lesson during or in advance if your behaviour is inappropriate or offensive, or I deem that you are not fit to practice safely. In such cases, re-scheduling and refunds will not be given.
