Group Classes Online

Terms of Service

Introduction

This page details the agreement we make when you book an online group class. It includes what you are agreeing to and need to know, about:

  • the Zoom meeting room, audio & video settings and screen recording

and what to do / what happens:

  • If you are running late

  • If the meeting room is not open when you arrive

  • If the lesson has to stop - e.g. an internet connection problem

  • If a group class has to be cancelled for any other reason

and includes other important information, including rights reserved.

Please note, refunds or transfer of credit are not available for missed online group classes so please book carefully.

If you book a class or lesson that is not right for you, you will not be given refund, but you can book a free 20 minute discovery call with Ella, to find out more and help you to decide if this is the right online group yoga class or one-to-one lesson for you.

Zoom meeting room, audio & video settings and screen recording

The zoom meeting room will open 10 minutes before the class begins.

Screen recording by students is not permitted.

When I begin teaching, I will mute all participants and spotlight myself.

Please do unmute your audio if you need to tell me you are not ok, or that there is a problem with the sound, the video or to report inappropriate or offensive behaviour.

Please note, I cannot unmute you.

I may occasionally record the class (via Zoom and/or another device) and use the recording in part or in whole to create content for my websites and/or to use for the coaching of other teachers. I will tell you when I start recording, which will be after muting all participants and spotlighting myself for all participants. Your video will not be recorded and I will never use any content that identifies you. Unfortunately I cannot make recordings available to participants, at this time.

You are very welcome to unmute yourself to ask questions. (If a recording is being made, your voice will be recorded but your video will not)

Anyone behaving in an inappropriate or offensive manner, will be removed and blocked from this and all future classes and will not be refunded.

If you are running late

The zoom meeting room will be open - just come in, get comfortable  - you are welcome :-)

Please remember to look after your body, warm up and connect with your breath  before you begin. We might be doing things which you need to warm up for and that is your responsibility :-)

If you miss the class completely

As a small business, I am not currently offering refunds for missed classes.

If the zoom meeting room is not open when you arrive

The zoom meeting room will open 10 minutes before the start time.

Please wait a few minutes - I may be fixing a small IT problem.

If it is still not open 2 minutes before the start time, please check your email.

If I have a technical issue, I will email you as soon as I can and tell you what is happening.

If I can fix the problem and begin the class within 10 minutes of the start time, the full duration of the class (e.g.1 hour 15 minutes) will begin from the time we actually began.

If I cannot fix the problem within 10 minutes, I will email you as soon as possible and give you a new date and time for the class with a zoom link.

This may not be on the same day of the week or the same time of day as the original booking but I will do my best to make it accessible for as many participants as possible.

If we lose connection

Please check your internet, device etc.

Sadly, I cannot help you with this, but you are welcome to re-join the class if you can.

If the problem is with the teacher’s connection

Firstly, please accept my sincere apologies and wait for a few minutes. If it takes more than a few minutes to re-join, I will email you if I can.

If the problem can be fixed within 10 minutes, the class will re-start on the same zoom link and I will add the lost minutes to the end of the class.

If the problem cannot be fixed within 10 minutes, I will email you as soon as possible and offer a suitable resolution, depending on how much time was lost.

If a group class has to be cancelled for any other reason

This is very unlikely! But if it does happen, I will email you as far in advance as possible with a resolution.

If it is possible, you will receive

1) a new zoom meeting link for a date and time no more than 7 days after the original

If that is not possible, you will receive

2) a discount code which equals your payment for the class which you can apply to another class

if 1) or 2) are not possible, you will receive

3) confirmation of refund

Unfortunately I cannot offer you a choice of 1) 2) or 3)  - the decision is based on what is possible in the circumstances.

The teacher reserves the right to decline and refund a booking at anytime for any reason.

The teacher reserves the right to terminate the whole class or remove and block any individual from the zoom meeting room at any time with reasonable cause and refunds will not be given.
